Savills Adds Global Real Estate Expert to Cross-Border Services

Allan Brass joins firm’s global tenant representation team in Los Angeles as director

LOS ANGELES (July 26, 2019) – Savills has added global real estate expert Allan Brass as director, Cross-Border Tenant Advisory, Americas. He will work directly with Savills advisors to serve clients with multinational footprints and geographically diverse real estate portfolios. Brass is based in Los Angeles and has responsibility for the Western region.

“It was critical for us to have someone on the ground in California as technology, entertainment and media companies continue to expand and establish operations overseas,” said Jess Johnson, head of Cross-Border Tenant Advisory, Americas. “The western markets also provide a gateway to the Asia-Pacific region, where Savills has a significant and growing presence.”

Savills U.S.-based, cross-border business has grown by more than 150 percent per year since its inception in 2014. The cross-border tenant advisory team operates across five key hubs in New York, London, Singapore, Hong Kong and, now, Los Angeles.

“I look forward to leveraging my international relationships in support of clients who want to extend their reach across oceans and borders,” said Brass. “Savills is a preeminent and respected global brand, and there’s tremendous potential to activate that breadth of coverage on behalf of our U.S.-based tenants.”

Brass has extensive international real estate experience and has held positions in the Americas, Asia and Europe. His areas of expertise include global account management, lease negotiations, portfolio administration, market intelligence and financial analysis. Brass also has a deep understanding of worldwide markets and cultural nuances.

He began his real estate career with Savills, serving as a general practice surveyor in the firm’s Edinburgh, Scotland office more than a decade ago. Most recently, Brass was a member of Cushman & Wakefield’s Global Occupier Services group.

Brass has a Master of Arts in geography and a Master of Science in international real estate markets from the University of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom.
